Friends, we have prepared our new book, which has become a development of the ideas of our last year’s brochures about left-wing political prisoners in Russia.
This book was created by activists of the Post-Soviet Left to return the voice to those who are not heard — communists, anarchists and anti-fascists who ended up behind bars for their beliefs and activities.
Why is this important? Among Russian political prisoners today, representatives of the left movement occupy a prominent place. Their names rarely make it into the news of state and “independent” media. Mainstream journalists either ignore left-wing political prisoners altogether, or deliberately keep silent about their political position. Therefore, their struggle often becomes invisible both in Russia and abroad. We don’t want to put up with this and want to shed light on their fates.
What’s inside: short dossiers, biographies and context on famous and “invisible” cases — from well-known stories like the “Network” case, Ilya Shakursky (https://t.me/ilyashakursky) and the “Chita case” to the new cases of Ivan Merezhnikov, Harry Azaryan (http://t.me/free_azaryan) and Leonid Bograteon; texts about prison conditions, the lies of the Russian government about anti-fascism and why the fight for prisoners is the task of the entire left movement.
📖 The electronic version of the book is available now: in Russian and English.🔽
